4th ANNUAL
MEN AND WOMEN OF STEEL
SWIM AND PICNIC
It is almost time for the 4th Annual Men and Women of Steel Swim and
Picnic. This is a fun event to spend time with your teammates at, a
great fundraiser for our team, and a invigorating open water race in
Steel Lake. We are even offering a relay this year if you want to share
the fun with 3 friends. Be there Sunday,
September 12, 2010!

AUGUST SCHEDULE
CHANGES
Starting Monday, August 2nd, the
Weyerhaeuser King
County Aquatic Center will be closed for maintenance until at least the
2nd week in September. In order to work around this
inconvenience, please listen closely at practice and pay attention
to your email so you will be at the right place at the right time.
Currently, here is the schedule for August:
Early Morning
Practices:
5:30-6:45 a.m. will remain on regular
schedule @ Marine Hills Pool. We are responsible for pool set up
and take down. Everybody is expected to help set up and take down!
Brunch Practices: Monday and Wednesday, August 2 and 4th, brunch
is at Auburn pool 8:00-9:00 a.m. Starting Friday Aug. 6th 8:45- 10:00 a.m. will be @ Twin Lakes Swim
& Country Club on 320th in Federal Way.
Evening Practices:
Evening workouts will be as follows:
Monday 8:00-9:00 p.m. @ Fife Tuesday 8:00-9:00 p.m. @ Twin Lakes Wednesday 7:00-8:00 p.m. @ 5 Mile Lake Thursday 8:00-9:00 p.m. @ Twin Lakes Friday 7:00-8:00 p.m. @ 5 Mile Lake
Saturday Practices:
Saturday's will rotate through lake and pool
swims so watch the schedule weekly!
Sunday Practices:
Sunday's will remain @ Angle Lake on a drop in
basis

AQUARUN AND SWIM FOR A CHILD
AquaRun is a fundraiser for Gift for a Child, a nonprofit organization
whose mission is to bring together potential adoptive parents and
children in need of families by providing innovative programs that
include education, collaboration, and family support. This event,
managed by Federal Way Kings swimmer Zena Courtney, will be held on
Labor Day, Monday, September 6th.

TRI TIME SWIMMING
Tri Time is run by our coaches at Federal Way Kings as a way
to train adult swimmers who may not feel ready to start in group
swimming, or who may want to build confidence in upcoming events.
This is a safe, supportive environment for learning, so if you are
