New Federal Way Kings Website is Online
With a primary goal of serving our members better, and also
to encourage more growth from new membership, we are excited to announce that we
have created a new website for our team. Be sure to take some time and check
out all this site has to offer to the interested Masters swimmer.
On the News page you will find current
news about members, past newsletters and photo galleries. The
Schedules page covers changes, and information for
potential members on where we work out, when we work out and how much it costs.
The Calendar page has upcoming events of interest to
our members. The Sign Up page is everything an
interested person needs to sign up, including a fill-able membership form.
Lastly, the Contact page tells about our team’s
history, contact and email information, and useful links.
As we fill out the site more, we will begin to promote it on
search engines and set up links from other sites to ours. Hopefully it will be
another tool to draw in more membership from those who may be interested in
masters swimming and don’t know what we are about. Everyone who has joined this
team soon realizes that we have great coaching, great members and a great pool
and we want to be sure and present that to anyone who is interested.
Thanks for the site go out to Mary Ann White for all her work
in developing our existing brochure which much of the information was taken
from, as well as all her efforts developing our new logo and color scheme.
Thanks also to Dan Smith for donating all of the labor to develop, design and
publish the site and acquire the domain name. Thanks to John Tacke for donating
web servers at his company, FrontLine Solutions, to host the site for free.
Finally, thanks to the Board for being supportive of this endeavor.
We need you to be a part too. Our site will only be as good
as the contributions of all its members. If you have ideas on improving the
site, use the webmaster
email link at the bottom of any page. If you have newsworthy info we have
overlooked, get it in. If you have photos that you want to share, get those in
to us also. If you know of clinics, triathlons or other events that should be
on our schedule, let us know. If you see errors or omissions, let us know.
Let’s use this website as another tool to make us the best Masters team in the
State.
